Weekend Getaway: Makeup

Weekend Getaway: Makeup

The other weekend I went on a getaway to see one of my best friends near London and the morning of my travels I was frantically packing pyjamas, slippers and facemasks - you know, the essentials for a girly weekend , and I was interested in my own choices when it came to my make up bag as I tipped it all out to decide what I was going to take with me, and somehow I took a bigger bag, cause well you know...you never know what your going to need til ya get there! By doing this I've seen how loyal I am to one particular brand, Clarins, so I thought I'd share with you what I took with me and what my must have essentials are IFFFFF I did have to downsize my make up bag for some particular reason.

Now everywhere I go I have my Clarins Hydra-Quench cream on me, and I think I have mentioned this in another post sooo I'm not going to go on about it too much but it glorious on my skin type!!

Next up is the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream which I actually bought because I saw it so much on YouTube. This stuff does wonders!! Honestly enough said!

Back to Clarins, we've got beauty flash balm which is my face primer. I don't actually use this regularly BUTTTTT, if I know I'm having a long day or I'm going out that particular evening I'll use this as it doesn't budge! I'll also use the Clarins Fix Make, which I'll spray on before my foundation instead of using the primer or after to set my face.

Moving onto actual make up! Nars Sheer Glow foundation is my go to, and at home I'll  mix it up every now and then but Nars is my number one!

The last one I'm going to talk about if your still reading is brows because, no face is complete without brows. I feel like I've tried a lot of products from benefit to Mac but at the moment I'm loving the L'Oreal brow artist genius kit which is a wax and a powder but I've seen Fleur De Force now has brow products and I'm excited to trying something new and hopefully finding my holy grail brow product!

I'm always one to try new products so let me know what your staple items are in the comments below.
