New York, New York...

New York, New York...

The perfect city to get lost in and explore has to be New York, and when my closet friend Alice asked me to join her and her mum I could hardly say no!
Our trip started like any other - an unnatural 4am alarm was set and by five the taxi was waiting to take us to Heathrow. I feel that we were lucky with our flight, as we landed in Newark (New Jersey Airport) at one in the afternoon so I had planned plenty of sleep time during the journey to ensure I was ready for my first day in the Big Apple.

We started off by getting lost in the airport, but hey it's all part of the experience! My tip if your flying in to Newark, is to get the window seat in the taxi on the way to New York. I managed to nab it and when you see the city's sky line for the first time at a distant it is truly magnificent.
We reached the hotel and did the courteous 'we've arrived' Snapchat and then headed out to Central Park, which was only a 15 minute walk from our hotel. We started walking but when we were approached by a man offering us a bike tour, we hopped on board and saw the park within the hour which I think is a great way to see it if your pushed for time.

The rest of our 3 days in the New York consisted of exploring as much as possible. We did everything we could including The High Line, The Empire State Building, Times Square and we even squeezed in a boat tour in-between our consistent shopping.
If your going to New York your defiantly not going to find eating out any bother! With restaurants of every different variety down each avenue and diners alike to suit anyone's budget it was the easiest part of the trip. Also the people of New York City couldn't be any friendlier and helpful when it comes to getting around the city so, if you need to know the quickest route I'd recommend asking them!
I could go on and on but you really do need to experience New York for yourself. I'll leave below a selection of my photos for you to go through and hopefully to help you get excited and inspired!
