Highlights Of: February

Ahhh March, how are you here already? January was a super slow month for me but February seems to have flown by. February has been a month of blue skies, good food, working hard and shopping harder.

At the beginning of the month my newly wedded cousin paid us a visit which resulted in a shopping trip to Gunwharf Quays (where I purchased my new Cath Kidston suitcase, it has 4 wheels which I am super excited about) and then an evening meal which resulted in delicious food and espresso martinis all round!

Next up was a trip to Paignton in Devon. It was a work trip hence the no follow up blog post but that doesn’t mean I didn’t take my camera with me and snap alllll the seagulls. I love these little day trips and managed to squeeze in quite a lot, I even fitted in time to walk along the pier and take in the Devon air.

Finally the weekend just gone, which has just been the most manic. On Friday morning I got the pleasure of meeting Henry the French bulldog, he is as cute as he looks! He’s the first insta famous dog I’ve met and I promise I totally kept my cool, did I have it in the first place? You can see all his cute insta pics >>here<<. Then that afternoon I took the 3 hour train journey to Birmingham for work and obviously I forgot to pack headphones and a book so it was 3 hours of fun, fun, fun. I did however catch an earlier train as I heard the shopping is pretty spectacular there and I gotta say, it is. I walked through Grand Central and then ended up in the Bullring, before you knew it I was in Selfridges standing at the Charlotte Tilbury counter. I did need a new foundation as mine was running low but as the lovely lady started showing me other products and I was instantly hooked. Sure enough I think my whole main makeup collection is turning into a Charlotte Tilbury counter but I love everything and I’m yet to be disappointed so I’m excited to try these goodies out.

Birmingham is definitely somewhere I'd like to re-visit when I have some more free time. On the walk back to the hotel I took in all its architecture and it's truly stunning.

Now I’m at home having cat cuddles as the weather has done a full 360 and snowed which is  a very rare event down south and contemplating at how although I feel like I’ve worked a lot this month which has meant that my weekends have disappeared I’ve also treated myself too, it’s ALLLL about balance. March is an exciting month but I’m not wishing it away, I want to savour every free weekend!

How was your month and what did you get up to?
