It's that time of year again where scaring the unexpected is celebrated and people can walk around it masks. For me, this isn't my favourite time of year, mainly because of the latter but I do still get involved in the pumpkin picking and non-scary festivities that Halloween brings. I'm a bit of a wuss and I know it, okayyyy.
Back to the baking, did you know that Marks and Spencer brought out Percy Pig's - Halloween style! Oh yeah they went there, and they did it good...not that I ate the whole packet, I had help there!
Cupcakes are my least baked products purely because I find them so uninspiring, that were until I saw a twist of the classic on Instagram and decided to try it for my self and make these ghoulish styled cupcakes.
How To Create...
This bit is the easy bit for most but I followed the instructions on the box and still managed to mess it up as I rushed, so follow them and not me!
For the icing, mix 120g of the icing in with 80g of softened butter and add a splash of milk. Then pop the food colouring, a little at a time as it can change very quickly!
Once the cakes are cool, pipe the icing sugar onto the top and then place on your Pumpkin Percy Pigs!
What You Will Need...
- Don't tell anyone, but I cheated here and use a pre - prepared cupcake mix. Mine was from Tesco but you can get them anywhere.
- Icing Sugar
- Orange Food Colouring
