Now, I don't know about you but I have been craving juices like MAAADDDD basically since the beginning of the year but catching the typical post-Christmas cold actually making them was too much effort. I wanted chocolate - ok there I said it. But this weekend, with a spring back in my step I headed for Tesco, list in one hand and basket in the other and filled it up. I felt so healthy and smug swinging my fruity basket down to the tills.
To make these absolute beauties I used Rosemary Ferguson's book 'Juice' and it is one I've recommended to SOoooo many people. I mean 1, this book is big - who knew you could make so many conceptions and 2, there are so many descriptions. If your looking for a juice to de-stress, detox or stop ageing it is ALLLLL in there.
So me being in a very fruity mood I went for a 'Fountain of Pineapple Youth' which is good for your skin which I always need help with especially in winter having dry skin and a 'Berry Boost' which helps get rid of the body of toxins that make you look tired. Peerrrrrrfect.
What you'll need...
Fountain of Pineapple Youth
- 1 pineapple - peeled
- Juice of 1 orange
- 2 tbsp hemp seed oil
- 10 raspberries & blueberries
- 5 strawberries
- 1 carrot
- handful of parsley
- 1/4 fennel bulb
I just chucked everything in to a Nutri-Bullet and blended. blended. blended. Hopefully now, I have glowing skin and no bags and if not, hecckkk it, they still tasted blooming delicious and it's the kick I needed to get healthy and fit again for 2017. I'm not going all cliche on you with 'new year, new me' but from this moment on I am really going to strive to be the best healthiest me I can be, obviously i'll be blogging the journey!
Let me know what your go to juice recipes are! Thanks for reading x
