Another day in Brighton

This blog post is going to be rather photo lacking I’m afraid and probably more of a dairy update of my time in Brighton the other day and theeeeee BEST Italian restaurant you need to know about!

My friend Sophie and I went to Brighton for the first time in March last year (you can read that blog post here) and we vowed to go again the following year and how that time has flown by. It's only a 2-hour car journey and with the right playlist on that time soon disappeared and then we were in Brighton. Taking advantage of the free parking we set the sat nav to Withdean Sports Complex and caught the bus into town which only takes 15 minutes.

The first thing we wanted to to do when we got there was head for brunch, there are so many places I want to try in Brighton that we’ll need to go back every year if not more to tick them all off! On this trip, our spot was Trading Post Coffee Roasters where the coffee was so smooth and the breakfast was massive! After brunch, we wandered around the streets and then headed into the lanes steering clear of any general high street stores which we could pop into at home.

4 hours later and we were ready for lunch and Sophie had heard great things about VIP Pizza so obviously, that was where we were going to go! When you go into the restaurant you can tell this place is a genuine and authentic Italian restaurant and I’d love to come back and see the difference in the vibe for dinner. I can’t fault this place, there was soooooo much on the menu to droll over and when we ordered our food it came out pretty quick and you can tell all ingredients used were fresh.

After our lunch, we took a more leisurely stroll back to the shops as the food was weighing us down and then soon after headed back to the car with shopping bags in hands and feeling content of a day well spent.

I love Brighton and although both times I’ve visited it has been raining and overcast we are already planning another trip back this year after summer so hopefully we’ll see it once in the sunshine and stroll along the beachfront without the fear of being blown away!
